Not just them.....just about any car these days has its engine bay crammed with things.
I’ve been changing headlight bulbs and I’ve discovered this!

The 4-cylinder Accord isn’t as bad since to hood is designed to accommodate a big-ass V6.

Can’t speak for newer models, but the Del Sol was brilliantly designed. Every major wear component is easily accessible - air and oil filters, plugs, wires, distributor, O2 sensor, etc., etc.
